Reverse osmosis water filtration systems utilize a specialized RO membrane filter to reduce contaminants, bad tastes, odors, and sediments from drinking water.
The Circle Reverse Osmosis Under Sink Water Filtration System features 4-stage filtration:
- the Sediment Filter reduces sand, rust, and particulates
- the Pre-Carbon Filter traps VOCs, chlorine, and other contaminants
- the Post-Carbon Filter removes lingering contaminants and odors
- the Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter reduces heavy metals, cysts, and industrial chemicals
In addition to its carbon and sediment filters, the Circle includes a specialized RO Membrane Filter, with a pore size of .0001 microns in diameter. Water molecules are able to pass through these pores, while relatively larger contaminants are excluded. These excluded contaminants are diverted through the Circle’s wastewater line, while filtered water moves to the water storage tank until it is needed.
The Circle wastes less than 2 gallons of water for every gallon of filtered water, thanks to patented components that reduce back pressure—a common source of waste in other RO systems. A flexible storage tank, automatic filter flushing, and a sophisticated, non-electric design all ensure that the Circle isn’t just a beautifully designed reverse osmosis system, but that it operates sustainably, too.
