What is a Swash Ecoseat?
A Swash Ecoseat is an advanced non-electric toilet seat that offers fresh and hygienic cleansing for men, women, and children. Our Ecoseats feature a front wash, a rear wash, on-demand nozzle cleaning, and a slow-close seat and lid.
How does a Swash Ecoseat work?
Simply use the adjustable pressure control knob on the side of the seat, past the nozzle cleaning marker, to engage both feminine and posterior aerated washes. Owners of the Dual Temperature Ecoseat will also be able to adjust the water temperature using the integrated mixing valve.
What is the difference between the S101/CL99 and S102/CL129?
The S101/CL99 is an ambient temperature bidet that relies on your home for water pressure.
The S102/CL129 is a dual-temperature bidet that will require both a hot water and cold water source to operate the dual-temperature feature, or the hot water connection can be capped off with included parts to convert this version into an ambient temperature bidet.
Is a Swash easy to install?
Our Swash Ecoseat products are designed to be easily installed by the user. A standard installation can take as little as 20 minutes. Our bidets will come with everything needed for a standard installation. Check out our Installation Videos or our Compatibility & Installations FAQ.
What is the difference between the front and rear washes?
The front wash offers a feminine cleanse, while the rear wash offers a posterior wash for both men and women. Please note that the user will still be required to readjust for the wash to reach the right area, depending on your personal needs.

How are Ecoseats powered?
Ecoseats are completely non-electric and are pressurized directly by your home's water pressure. Incoming water pressure in your pipes enables you to start a wash and adjust the water pressure by turning the control dial.
How do I operate the Ecoseat?
Simply turn the wash knob forward or backward, past the nozzle cleaning notch, to start your wash! As you start and end each wash, you will activate a high-pressure nozzle cleaning mode that will help keep your nozzles as clean as possible!
How do I dry off?
Pat dry with a bit of TP or a washcloth. After you’re all done washing, simply pat dry with a few squares of toilet paper to finish the job. You will still be reducing your TP usage by up to 75%! Some people use reusable washcloths for an even more sustainable practice, and Brondell offers machine-washable bamboo towels to ensure you have a reliable, comfortable, and eco-friendly option here!
How safe is the clear plastic hot hose for the Dual Temperature Ecoseats?
The hot tubing is specially manufactured with thermoplastic polyurethane, capable of withstanding temperatures of 70 degrees Celsius at 156.2 psi.
How does the Dual Temperature Ecoseat get hot water? Does it heat the water?
The Dual Temperature Ecoseats hook up to a hot water supply within 6 feet of the bidet. Typically, this would be the sink in your bathroom. Since they are non-electric, they are unable to heat water on their own and depend on the home’s water source.
Can I use the Ambient Ecoseat with hot water?
No, the Ecoseat S101/CL99 is not designed to be connected to a hot water source.
Is it possible to use my Dual Temperature Ecoseat with only cold water?
Yes! To use the S102/CL129 with only cold water, only hook up the cold water connection. Use the Hot Water Supply Cap that came with your bidet and cover the hot water connection. This will convert your Dual Temperature bidet into an Ambient Temperature bidet until a hot water connection can be sourced.
Do the wands ever "get in the way"?
No, the wash wands are only extended during the wash cycle. At all other times, they are housed inside the unit to avoid being contaminated. As a further safeguard, the wands clean themselves with a high-pressure spray of water before each use using the control knob.
Are Swash Ecoseats compatible with seat risers?
No, our Ecoseats are compatible with seat risers/seat elevators.
What is the length of the Hot Water Tubing?
The included Hot Water Tubing is 6 feet long for standard installations. If your sink is not within 6 feet of your toilet, you can purchase longer tubing by the foot here.
Are inline bidet filters compatible with the Ecoseats?
No, inline bidet filters are only compatible with Electric Swash bidet products.

What are the interior hole dimensions of the bidet seat?
The interior hole of each Swash bidet ranges by size. The dimensions listed are of the longest and widest sections of the seat opening.

Will my bidet work with hard water, well water, or softened water?
Yes, however, hard water, well water, and softened water without whole-home Reverse Osmosis filtration can significantly reduce the lifespan of the product due to hard water deposits that can form.
How do the self-cleaning nozzles work?
The self-cleaning nozzle feature is located on the Wash Knob, indicated by 2 small notches. Turning the knob slightly in either direction will activate the nozzle cleaning. Turning the knob past this notch will activate either a rear or front wash, depending on the direction the knob is turned.

Is the Swash covered by Medicare or Medicaid?
You may be able to get coverage particularly with the state-level Medicaid, but you should check with your doctor and/or insurance provider for more information. If you have a medical condition that a hygienic bidet toilet seat can help, then your doctor may be able to prescribe a Swash bidet for you and you may be eligible to receive insurance coverage for it.
How do I clean/maintain my Ecoseat?
Swash seats are made of germ-resistant ABS plastic. They should be cleaned with a soft, wet cloth and a gentle cleaner. DO NOT USE strong chemicals to clean Swash products. Do not leave chemicals in contact with the seat for extended periods of time, as it will cause physical damage to the finish.
